Not Sports, but Still Silly
A Church of England Priest blogged that homosexuals should have tattooed warnings placed on their backsides and chins. In a related story, the new garb for clergymen has a warning on it reading, “May touch little boys.” It’s good to see the clergy is dedicating their time to real issues.
The 66 year-old blogging priest says, “many of my dear friends have been and are of that persuasion,” and “what I have got against them is the militant preaching of homosexuality.”
Obviously hypocrisy isn’t an issue, as he appears to be a militant preaching heterosexual. When are men who aren’t allowed to have sex going to stop telling everybody how it should be done? Gay sex, straight sex; they hate all of it unless it’s meant to reproduce. Unfortunately for them, most sexually active people are trying their hardest to avoid reproduction.
Individuals in the church are fighting a losing battle against homosexuality, and they know it. Higher-ranking officials have begun to soften their stance to avoid offending a large contingent of their membership, but there will always be bigotry and hatred from the old-school holdovers.
In the eyes of the church, homosexuality is immoral, but so is 99.9% of heterosexual sex if viewed in the same light. Until the church wages war on heterosexuals to assume only missionary positions, they should ease up on homosexuals. Instead of getting upset at the church, people need to see it for what it is; the crotchety great grandfather who doesn’t really know what he’s saying.
The real issue here may not be the stupidity of a dying religion, but old people and technology. Why is this 66 year-old priest even allowed on the Internet. If you can’t program the DVD player, you shouldn’t be allowed to use computers. It’s dangerous to let old priests give a sermon, let alone type their thoughts for all to see. These are the men who aren’t smart enough to distinguish between fact and fiction in the Old Testament. Like Carl Everett, “We don’t believe in no damn dinosaurs.”
If ignorance is bliss, then this guy is a walking opiate. The worst part is, as he faces possible reprimands by the church, it’s only to save face in the public. If the church had their way, tattooing gay people would be the least offensive and berating practice they would assume. It would be like the Salem Which Trials all over again. Gay men and women everywhere would be seen tarred and feathered in town squares, and if you were seen shaking hands with someone of the same sex, the penalty would be castration.
This priest is just one idiot in an organization filled with them. Let these people sqwuak all they want and pay them no attention except mockery. Let them clear up their own sexual perversions before they start lecturing real people. The Catholic Church has spent over a billion dollars to cover up their own miscue, therefore its employees are in no place to preach. We wouldn’t take financial advise from AIG right now, so we shouldn’t take sexual advice from celibates and perverted miscreants.
